2004 recap

it is almost the new year - and as most people do i have looked back on this past year and all i can say is DAMN - it was filled with both good and the bad

we won our division in softball
Brandi, Crystal, Kelly, and Andrea all graduated--and Rachel
had a great job at sea world
grew very far apart from my 3 best friends
Sarah got married to LJ
grew very close to a new one (K)
set my long term goals for my life's direction
finally got to go to Maine!!! (andhad a great vacation w/my family)
Stephanie got married
Aaron's mom died
Andrea got married
Buck died
Elisa died
Casey is not my centerfielder anymore
Andrea is having a baby
Susie finally realized her feelings for andrew
I learned how it feels to want something I can't have
I learned how great it feels for someone to call when they need a friend
I realized how much I thank my friends for being there for me
My family is all doing well
Joanie got lung cancer
Joanie beat lung cancer
Joanie got throat and kidney cancer
Joanie decided to let God dictate her life, not Chemo
South Texas had a white Christmas (thank you Elisa and Buck)

as easy as it is to think of the horrible things that happened in 2004, i am now realizing how many good things did happen this year - mostly i realize now how very lucky i am to know and to have known such great people in my life!

things i have to pray for in 2005--- life, Robert in the marines, Aaron in the army, Joanie beating cancer, TLU softball beating the odds!, Graduating college, my great family, mostly my terrific friends!

shopping :)

unfortunately one of the outfits that i got for Christmas was just not me, so i went back to the store and returned it... woo hoo for an extra $45 -- too bad my fone charger fried two days ago - sooo i had to buy a new charger today-- wallmart doesnt carry any plug chargers, so i had to go to the sprint store :- so there went that quickly earned $45!!! oh well... i got a barnes and nobel gift card for $100... so i went to the store, picked out some books - totaled $99.17 - I am so excited... i got some great books :)

I tripped on my shoelace
And I fell up --
Up to the roof tops,
Up over the town,
Up past the tree tops,
Up over the mountains,
Up where the colors
Blend into the sounds.
But it got me so dizzy
When I looked around,
I got sick to my stomach

SNOW!!!!

IT SNOWED TODAY!!!! Christmas Eve in South Texas and it snowed!!! 2 months to the day we lost a great person... a month an a half before that was the loss of another - today's miraculous snow was a gift from both Elisa and Buck - telling us that they are ok, that they are happy - and that they loved us - THANK YOU - i miss you both!!!


I had a great start to Christmas - Eve at the maternal side is always fun!! Chris loved the snow :) Tomorrow is the paternal side - always good cookin over there!! hope everyone gets what they want, and realize the importance of the holidays - tell the ones u love that you love them, and forgive those who need it :)

my thoughts and prayers are with the Shultz and Suarez family always, may their wonderful memories of their loved ones help them through these trying times! (and I believe the snow that fell today was a gift from them both)

I thank YOU!!! all of my friends and family who i am very luck to have in my life!

i tried to hit this evening, but after 2 rounds in the cage i pert-near froze my nose off :( good thing i got in a few rounds this afternoon :) This is crazy cold weather - Rachel is in Dallas and it is SNOWING!! i wish it would snow here :\
I looked on the weather thinggy and it is 6degrees... and tomorrow the high is 1 and the low is -10 -- in South Dakota :-O i think I'm starting to re-think my decision of moving there :-\ but I also think it'll be a good experience for me to freeze my butt off, so when I get back to Texas I wont complain about 30 degree weather!!! BURRR
thats all today!!! - it didn't work by the way - at least I dont think it did :(

Pictures of Hollis Woods

I just sat from 8:30 till now - 11:30 reading a book... i know its odd, but this was by far the best book i have ever read!!! you all need to read Pictures of Hollis Woods!!!! it will touch your life in so many ways!!!

I spent the day with momma, and I hit with dad for about an hour!

Well, I am going to bed nice and early -- well, it was early before i started reading... tomorrow i am going to go to Seguin to pay my bills and get some stuff... have a great day tomorrow!!!!

been a while

Been a while since i've written :)

-- Things have been going well - this week was finally the end of this semester!!! :-D I got to spend almost the entire week with CC! how fun is that! went and played BINGO! didn't win at all :( but Amanda won - good job!!! we also went bowling this week, and to Cowboys (Holly's first time there... hope she had super fun!) went to play pool at Cats in san marcos with some of the girls... hung out with Tish, Tott, Jessica, AK, Kelly, CC, Bren... bunches of people! Tomorrow is Kelly's Birthday -happy 23rd! Baked cookies and watched a movie with Crystal and Andrew on Friday-that was fun (too bad my big tv didn't work, so we had to watch it on a little one :-\) some of my friends graduated today! good job meg, sarah and G!

I am trying this new thing, where I'm goign to be brave and not a coward!!! but i'm not sure if it is going to work or not : -- funny thing, Kell was tellin me bout this person she likes that hapens to be dating someone, but this person still kinda likes her; really funny considering the recent 2am fonecalls lately -

Casey is the toughest kid I know... I wish I could of done more to help her out - I am very proud of you kid- it took a lot of guts, you are a GRRRRRRREAT person! you will always be a part of our team ;)

Starting now I will fight till I get what I want!!! in all aspects of everything!
